As of yesterday, I have officially started grad school. This means it is time for caffeine (especially with that 8 am class). I don’t usually drink a ton of caffeine but some mornings I just need that extra push. I’m not a huge fan of hot coffee but I usually like it on ice.
I like this recipe because it is half smoothie, half iced coffee – two things I love. I also like that it doesn’t have any added sugar, just natural sugar from the raspberries and banana. Speaking of the banana, it adds a nice creaminess to the drink but you won’t be able to taste it over the strong raspberry and coffee flavors.
- 1 cup coffee, cold
- 1/2 cup
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/4 soy milk
- ice (optional, depending on desired consistency)
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add ice until desired consistency is reached (I used one small handful).
